The Lebanese Hezbollah militia has once again fired rockets at northern Israel. According to the Israeli army, warning sirens sounded in areas including the port city of Haifa and Acre further north. Five shells were intercepted. The Israeli rescue service Magen David Adom announced that there was initially no information on casualties. Hezbollah claimed responsibility for various attacks on northern Israel.

According to the army, the Israeli air force attacked around 200 Hezbollah targets deep in Lebanon and in the south of the neighboring country within 24 hours.

Israel's army has significantly stepped up its fight against the Hezbollah militia since September. This includes massive air strikes and a ground offensive in Lebanon. Residents report heavy destruction in numerous villages.
