According to the Ministry of Defense, Russia's air defense has once again repelled dozens of drone attacks by Ukraine. A total of 80 drones in six regions were intercepted and destroyed, the ministry announced in Moscow. There were several explosions in Tuapse on the Black Sea, as eyewitnesses reported on social networks. A large fire broke out there in an oil processing plant belonging to the energy company Rosneft - according to official reports, caused by debris from a drone that had been shot down.

According to the authorities, there were no injuries. Ukrainian media reported the fire in Tuapse as a success for the Kiev military intelligence service. The oil company, which has a port and access to the sea, is also considered important for supplying Russian troops in the war of aggression against Ukraine. The facility has already been the target of Ukrainian attacks in the past. The fire that broke out in the early morning was extinguished, the authorities in Tuapse announced.

According to Russian information, there were also 47 drone attacks on the Rostov region alone, which were repelled. Flying objects were also intercepted over the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov near the Crimean peninsula annexed by Russia.

Ukraine is also firing at Russian targets in the hinterland of the neighboring state on a daily basis in order to stop military supplies. With Western help, the country, which has been defending itself against the Russian war of aggression for more than two years, has also significantly expanded its own production of drones.

The damage and consequences are disproportionate to the massive destruction and the number of fatalities caused by Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine.
