According to Kiev's military, Ukraine was once again bombarded with missiles and drones by Russia during the night. In some areas in the north of the country, the air alert continued at 8.30 a.m. local time (7.30 a.m. CEST) because the air force was still detecting Russian combat drones in the air. The western Ukrainian city of Lviv was hit particularly hard by the attacks. At least 7 people were killed there and at least 38 people were injured, according to Mayor Andrij Sadowyj. Three of the dead were children.

A residential building in the city center near the train station caught fire. Two schools in the town, just 70 kilometers from Poland, were also damaged. The railroad had to provide some trains in the region with diesel locomotives due to power failures.

On Tuesday, more than 50 people were killed and around 270 injured in a Russian missile attack on the central Ukrainian city of Poltava. Russia has been waging war on Ukraine for two and a half years. It is supplied with weapons by many countries, but the extent of the support cannot currently change the military situation in Ukraine's favor.
