Following a new deadly Russian airstrike near Kiev, Ukraine wants to permanently destroy Russia's military infrastructure. In order to stop the killing of civilians, it is necessary to deprive Russia of the ability to kill, said the head of the president's office, Andriy Yermak, in Kiev. He published a video showing forces in a field of rubble. The Russians had killed a four-year-old child and his father with the attack. According to the video, a drone struck the family home. Ukrainian authorities had previously reported a Russian missile attack.

"It is necessary to destroy its military infrastructure because the enemy does not accept other arguments," said Jermak about the Russian war of aggression. Ukraine is hoping that Western allies will soon give permission for the use of longer-range missiles against Russian territory. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi had previously said that he had high hopes for the decisions on this in the USA, Great Britain and France. "We are looking forward to strong decisions that will bring us closer to a just peace."

On Saturday evening, the President also commented directly for the first time on the invasion of Ukrainian troops in the Russian region of Kursk. This was intended to increase the pressure on Moscow. Ukrainian units have established themselves in many places in the Kursk region. Russia is pulling together more and more forces to repel the Ukrainian advance. According to the authorities, at least 13 people were injured in a block of flats in the city of Kursk itself when a Ukrainian rocket struck there, according to Russian reports.

The information provided by the warring parties cannot be independently verified. Russia has been waging its war of aggression against Ukraine for almost two and a half years. Last Tuesday, Ukraine launched a surprise attack with its own troops on Russian territory for the first time in its defensive campaign.
