In view of the fighting in the Middle East, Lufthansa is extending its flight stop to Israel and Lebanon. Flights to Tel Aviv will be canceled up to and including October 31 and connections to the Lebanese capital Beirut up to November 30.

This was announced by the airline in Frankfurt. Flights to Tehran will also be suspended until October 14. The core brand Lufthansa Airline had already decided to suspend flights to Tehran up to and including October 26.

Affected passengers can rebook to a later travel date free of charge or receive a refund of the ticket price. In addition to the core airline, the Lufthansa Group also includes Swiss, Austrian, Brussels Airlines and Eurowings.

Due to the tense security situation, Lufthansa has repeatedly extended flight stops to the Middle East recently. With the Israeli ground offensive in Lebanon against the Hezbollah militia, the situation in the region continues to escalate.
