The organizers have postponed the Zurich lake crossing planned for Wednesday. The water temperature is too low and the weather is expected to be rainy. The rescheduled date is July 10.

The water temperature is not expected to rise to the required 21 degrees by Wednesday, as the Lake Zurich Crossing Association announced on Monday. This means that advance ticket sales, which should have started today, Monday, will also be postponed by a week. Whether the lake crossing will take place next week will be decided next Monday morning.
For safety reasons, the event with up to 9,000 participants will only take place in good, stable weather. Patience was also required last year: the lake crossing only took place on the second postponement date in August.
