Search operation unsuccessful Man jumps into the Reuss near Mellingen AG - disappeared

Yesterday afternoon, a man jumped into the Reuss in Mellingen AG and never reappeared. The search for him was unsuccessful.

Shortly after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, the cantonal emergency call center received a report that a man in Mellingen AG had not resurfaced after jumping headfirst into the Reuss.

Several patrols from the cantonal and regional police immediately launched a search for the missing man. A Rega helicopter and the water rescue service with several boats were called in to assist in the search.

According to initial findings, the missing person is believed to be a 32-year-old man from Lithuania. The search for the missing man was unsuccessful.
