Two unknown persons attacked and robbed a man at Oensingen SO railroad station early on Sunday morning. According to the cantonal police, the perpetrators stole cash, a wristwatch and a necklace.

The victim fought back, fell to the ground in the scuffle and called for help, as the Solothurn cantonal police reported on Monday. The perpetrators then fled in the direction of the train station parking lot. The victim suffered minor injuries during the attack at 05:50.

The two strangers are said to be between 15 and 25 years old and of North African origin, according to the police press release. The police have launched an investigation.
