Insurance companies Mobiliar expects storm damage of over 75 million francs

In addition to great human suffering, the severe storms of recent weeks also caused major damage, Mobiliar announced on Friday. According to the information, around CHF 47 million of the storm costs in the first half of the year are likely to be attributable to flooding and around CHF 17 million to hail.
Mobiliar has received over 13,500 claims to date, it added. And these figures are likely to rise. For the devastating events at the end of June in Valais and Ticino alone, Mobiliar is assuming losses amounting to CHF 32 million.
