A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car in Pfäffikon in the Zurich Oberland. A helicopter flew the 26-year-old to hospital, while the 38-year-old car driver was uninjured.

According to the Zurich cantonal police, the collision occurred when the car wanted to turn from Ruetschbergstrasse into Usterstrasse, on which the motorcyclist was traveling towards Pfäffikon.

Due to the accident, the affected section of road had to be closed to all traffic until around 8 pm.
