The two young people are still in custody and investigations are ongoing. The Office of the Juvenile Prosecutor is not currently providing any further information.

Investigation into "Junge Tat"

The relatively high security precautions for Pride on Saturday were striking. Barriers were set up around Helvetiaplatz to prevent vehicles from entering the square. Police officers with machine guns were also on site.

During the event, the police also took six Swiss and one German man to a police station for further investigation. The men were on a motorboat in the lake basin and were carrying banners with anti-gay slogans. They were also distributing homophobic flyers from a drone. The right-wing extremist group "Junge Tat" claimed responsibility for the action.

It remains to be seen what consequences the right-wing extremists will face. The police investigation into the matter is ongoing.
