Anyone traveling by train between Lucerne and Küssnacht SZ can expect longer journey times in July. The reason for this is the renewal of the track.

From July 5 to 8 and from July 20 to 22, the line between Lucerne and the Swiss Museum of Transport will be closed, while the entire line between Lucerne and Küssnacht will be closed in between. Travel times will be longer, SBB AG announced on Monday. Departure and arrival times may change.

During the closure between Lucerne and the Museum of Transport, the Voralpenexpress and the S3 will be canceled on this section. Passengers will have to change to the city buses. Extra buses will also be used in some cases.

During the closure of the Lucerne-Küssnacht section, the S3 will be canceled on this route, as will the Voralpenexpress between Lucerne and Arth-Goldau SZ. It will then run from Rotkreuz ZG via Arth-Goldau to St. Gallen. Rail replacement buses will be running.
