86% of apprentices are training to become farmers in the 2024/25 school year. Just under 6 percent have opted for a career in viticulture and 2.5 percent want to work in vegetable growing. The remaining apprentices are training in fruit growing or poultry farming.

According to the farmers' association, half of the apprentices in vegetable growing are completing a second apprenticeship. The proportion of women is also significantly higher here at almost 40 percent. Almost 60 percent of trainees focus on organic farming.
