Fatal accident in Eiken AG. At around 8.30 a.m., the Aargau cantonal police received a report that an accident had occurred on the out-of-town stretch between Eiken and Laufenburg. "Several patrols from the Aargau cantonal police were then immediately deployed to the scene and were able to ascertain a serious collision between two trucks and a car," spokesman Marco Roduner told BRK News.
According to Roduner, there were four people in the vehicles. One person was slightly injured, another seriously. For one person, all help came too late. She died at the scene of the accident.
Precise investigations are currently underway. However, it is suspected that a dump truck crossed into the oncoming lane for unknown reasons and collided with a truck that had escaped correctly and also with a car following behind.
Recovery work is currently ongoing. "The damage is extensive, the collision was relatively violent," said the Aargau police.
