Speeding Driver caught in Oensingen SO at 154 km/h and without a license

During a speed check on an out-of-town stretch of road near Oensingen SO on Tuesday evening, a car was measured at 154 km/h. The 23-year-old driver was also driving without a valid driver's license, as reported by the Solothurn cantonal police on Wednesday.

At around 8.40 p.m., a mobile radar device recorded a car on Oltnerstrasse that was traveling from Oberbuchsiten in the direction of Oensingen at an excessive speed. After deducting the legal tolerance limit, the speed limit was 67 km/h, according to the police.

The 23-year-old Bulgarian behind the wheel also did not have a valid driver's license and will now be charged with a speeding offence.
