A drunk driver collided with an impact absorber and a road sign on the A2 at the Dagmersellen LU exit on Friday night. His car came to a standstill around 70 meters later in a bush.

According to Lucerne police, the driver, a 35-year-old German, was uninjured in the accident. However, he had to surrender his driver's license, as a breath test revealed an alcohol level of the equivalent of 2.2 per mille. A maximum of 0.5 per mille is permitted. The police put the damage to property at 25,000 Swiss francs.
