Zurich Four injured in traffic accident in Saland ZH

Four people were injured on Wednesday in a traffic accident in Saland (municipality of Bauma ZH), some of them seriously. Three vehicles were involved in the accident, according to the Zurich cantonal police.

In a slight left-hand bend, an 84-year-old driver crossed into the oncoming lane for unexplained reasons. There, his car collided with an oncoming car carrying two people. A van driver crashed his vehicle into the rear of one of the cars involved in the accident.

The 84-year-old man and the 61-year-old female passenger were seriously injured. They were flown to hospital by Rega. The second driver was slightly injured. The driver of the delivery van was taken to hospital for a medical check-up.
