Gaudenz Zemp (FDP) has announced his resignation from the Lucerne Cantonal Council. Zemp took office as mayor of Horw in September and is therefore stepping down from the cantonal parliament at the beginning of December.

The FDP Lucerne announced on Tuesday that it is currently clarifying who will succeed Zemp on the cantonal council. The party will announce its decision at a later date.

Zemp has been a member of the cantonal council since 2015. He has also served as Director of the SME and Trade Association of the Canton of Lucerne (KGL) since 2014. He also stepped down from this position on August 1.
