On Monday, a car and a tractor-trailer combination collided on the Julier Pass near Marmorera GR. This resulted in property damage of over 50,000 francs to the car and 500 francs to the trailer train. The road was closed for around an hour.

The accident occurred at 11 a.m. when a 47-year-old driver from Poland was driving his car down the valley towards Savognin, as reported by the cantonal police of Graubünden on Monday. In a bend above Scalotta, the car was approached by a trailer of a 29-year-old Swiss driver. This resulted in a grazing collision.

The 22 passengers in the car were eventually able to continue their journey in a replacement vehicle. The circumstances of the accident are now being investigated.
