Latest news Man injured in a robbery attempt at Liestal station

A 19-year-old man was injured in an attempted robbery at Liestal railroad station on Wednesday evening. The four presumably young attackers fled unidentified, as the Basel police reported on Thursday.

The attempted robbery took place shortly before 7.30 p.m. on platform 2. Four attackers tried to snatch the victim's shoulder bag and punched him.

The victim suffered head injuries. The ambulance took him to hospital. So far there is no trace of the attackers. The police are looking for witnesses.
