The Obwalden cantonal police arrested four suspected burglars on Friday and Saturday night. The first two broke into cars in Sarnen and Stalden on Friday. The other two broke into a youth club in Sarnen early on Saturday morning.

The car burglars forced their way into several vehicles, according to the police. They also stole items from unlocked cars. The 25 and 34-year-old thieves were found by police patrols within a short time after being reported by passers-by. According to the police, they come from North Africa.

The burglars in the youth club were two Swiss men aged 14 and 15. They smashed a window with a stone and stole a small amount of money inside. Residents awakened by the noise contacted the police.

When they arrived, the youths left the building. One was arrested immediately, the other was found a little later by the patrol in the immediate vicinity. They have to answer to the juvenile prosecutor's office.
