A police car and another car collided in Granges-Paccot in the canton of Fribourg on Wednesday morning. Two people suffered minor injuries, according to the Fribourg cantonal police.

The accident occurred at a traffic circle. The police car was unmarked and on its way to an emergency with its siren and flashing blue lights switched on, as the police wrote in a statement on Wednesday.

The 52-year-old driver of the second vehicle was slightly injured. He was taken to hospital by ambulance. A police officer was also slightly injured. He will see his doctor at a later date, according to the statement.

The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
