On Monday, the Bernese cantonal parliament

- adopted the law on the canton's participation in BLS AG and BLS Netz AG almost unanimously with 151 votes in favor.

- unanimously approved the Hydraulic Engineering Act at first reading due to its urgency.

- unanimously approved the implementation credit of CHF 4.88 million for a new woodchip heating system at the Witzwil correctional facility.

- unanimously approved the commitment credit of CHF 3.31 million for the renovation of the student clinic of the dental clinics in Bern.

- two motions concerning the agricultural area of the Witzwil correctional facility were passed and one rejected.
