Traffic accident Truck fatally injures 24-year-old cyclist in Zurich
A lorry fatally injured a 24-year-old cyclist near the Zurich VBZ stop Talwiesenstrasse on Thursday morning. Another accident involving a cyclist occurred nearby early on Thursday morning.

A 57-year-old truck driver was traveling on Birmensdorferstrasse in the direction of Goldbrunnenplatz shortly after 10 a.m., according to Zurich city police. Shortly after the VBZ stop Talwiesenstrasse, the truck turned into Talwiesenstrasse and collided with the cyclist.
Despite the immediate resuscitation efforts of the emergency services, the woman died on the spot. A care team was called out for people who had witnessed the accident. The exact circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the city police.
Just a few hours earlier, there had been an accident in the immediate vicinity involving a cyclist. There, a streetcar collided with a cyclist. The 48-year-old suffered moderate injuries.
