Storm Undamaged cycle bridge in the Maggia Valley to be reinforced for car traffic

The bicycle bridge near Visletto, which was spared by the storm, should soon be open to emergency vehicles. It is currently being reinforced for this purpose, explained the Ticino emergency services on Wednesday.

The cycle bridge crosses the Maggia below the destroyed car bridge between Visletto and Cevio.

The bridge, which is still relatively new, should be opened to emergency vehicles and local cars as quickly as possible.

In addition, the Ticino emergency management team has announced a timetable for Thursday for the construction of a temporary or semi-provisional new motorway bridge.
