On Monday, the Uri government ordered the shooting of a wolf from the Realp region. The wolf is said to have already killed 14 domestic goats on the Schweig alp in the Witenwasserental valley in recent days. Ten more domestic goats are missing.

The shooting permit was limited to 60 days, as announced by the Security Directorate on Tuesday. The shooting perimeter corresponds to the alpine perimeter of the wolf killings in the Witenwasserntal. The Cantonal Office for Forestry and Hunting is responsible for the shooting.
