SRF drew a positive balance of the Olympics in a newsletter. The coverage ensured top ratings: An average of 225,000 people watched the 216-hour Olympic program on SRF zwei. This corresponds to a market share of 33.1 percent in German-speaking Switzerland, a record for the Olympic Games.

With over 35 million hits and over 24 million livestream starts, the online offering was used more than at any previous Olympic Games since the measurement changeover in 2013. SRF reached a total of 3.4 million people in German-speaking Switzerland.

The men's downhill on February 7 with Franjo von Allmen's gold medal coup was watched by an average of 896,000 viewers, with a market share of 82.7 percent. The second run of the men's giant slalom on February 14 (882,000 and 81.3 percent market share) and the women's downhill (822,000 and 75.3 percent) were in similar spheres. The ice hockey quarter-final against Finland was watched by an average of 465,000 viewers (37.3 percent); the women's curling final was watched by an average of 374,000 viewers (63.3 percent).

The digital offerings on srf.ch/sport and in the SRF Sport app were used much more than at previous Olympic Games. The increase was very high with 35 million hits. At the last Olympic Games, SRF registered significantly lower accesses of 24 million (Summer Games Paris 2024), 20 million (Winter Games Beijing 2022) and 13.3 million (Winter Games 2018 in Pyeongchang).
