Aurelia-Maxima Janzen missed out on an Olympic diploma in the women's skiff by 1.4 seconds.
The 20-year-old from Bern finished 3rd in the B-final behind the superiorly victorious German Alexandra Föster and the Belarusian Tatjana Klimowitsch, which resulted in 9th place in the final classification.
The Olympic champion was Karolien Florijn from the Netherlands, who won by just under two seconds ahead of Emma Twigg. The New Zealander had won gold in Tokyo three years ago.
