The guests from Central Switzerland are in the role of favorites at the fourth of six Bergkranzfests on the Weissenstein on Saturday.

The Central Swiss want to redeem the humiliation of the Rigi above Solothurn. At their home festival a week ago on the "Queen of the Mountains", they only won two crowns. On the one hand, this was due to the fact that the guests from Bern were at their best. On the other hand, numerous top Central Swiss wrestlers missed out on the third mountain wreath festival of the season.

The starting position on the Weissenstein is now different. The Bernese are missing, and with King Joel Wicki, two-time season winner Marcel Bieri and Pirmin Reichmuth, the Central Swiss have three trump cards in their hand. In addition, the second guest association (North-Eastern Switzerland) is missing the two absolute top wrestlers, Unspunnen winner Samuel Giger and the currently dominant Werner Schlegel.

Joel Wicki will face Armon Orlik at the start, Marcel Bieri will compete against Nick Alpiger from north-western Switzerland and Pirmin Reichmuth will take on Damian Ott. The other top pairings between two Swiss players include Domenic Schneider against Mike Müllestein, Sven Schurtenberger against Fabian Kindlimann, Adrian Odermatt against Jonas Burch and Patrick Räbmatter against Marco Good.
