Swiss professional cyclist Robin Froidevaux narrowly missed out on victory at the Tour of Luxembourg.
In the sprint of the 2nd stage over 155 km from Junglinster to Schifflange, the 25-year-old from Vaud from the Swiss Team Tudor finished in 3rd place. In the sprint, Froidevaux was only beaten by the stars Mads Pedersen and Mathieu van der Poel, but remained ahead of last year's European champion Christophe Laporte.
Van der Poel defended his lead in the overall standings, while last year's winner Marc Hirschi from Bern finished with the field and remains in 4th place.
