On Tuesday evening, the cross-country skier and the ski jumper drove up to the multi-purpose hall of the municipality in the canton of Lucerne on a team car from 1924 to great cheers. The people of Horb applauded and waved flags of congratulations.

Guests of honor from the world of politics were also present, including the President of the Lucerne cantonal government Michaela Tschuor (center) and former Federal Councillor Adolf Ogi (SVP). The celebration continued in the multi-purpose hall with speeches and a panel discussion.

Fähndrich won the silver medal in the team sprint over 9 kilometers last week together with Nadja Kälin from Graubünden. Deschwanden had won the bronze medal on the normal hill on February 9.
