The former assistant to former national ice hockey coach Södersholm has made the leap to the NHL. The first woman ever to do so.

Jessica Campbell is the first woman to get a coaching job in the North American professional ice hockey league NHL. The former assistant to former German national team coach Toni Söderholm has been appointed co-coach of the Seattle Kraken. This was announced by the NHL team of German national goalkeeper Philipp Grubauer. The Seattle-based organization is considered to be particularly progressive on environmental and social issues in the rather conservative sport of ice hockey.

The 32-year-old Canadian assisted Söderholm at the 2022 World Championship. She has also worked as an assistant coach with the Nuremberg Ice Tigers in the German Ice Hockey League.
