Athlete Elena Kratter makes it through to the final in the 100 m at the Paralympics. The 28-year-old from central Switzerland came 3rd in her preliminary heat.

With a time of 15.06 seconds, she ran faster than ever before this season and was just four hundredths off her personal best.

However, she will need an exploit to be in contention for the medals in the evening. She lost 1.7 seconds or more on the three fastest athletes in the preliminary heats.

Kratter has already won a medal in Paris. She secured bronze in the long jump - as she did three years previously in Tokyo.
