The field of participants at the Athletissima is getting richer and richer. Letsile Tebogo from Botswana, the Olympic champion over 200 m, will take part in the half track event on the Pontaise on Thursday, August 22.
This was announced by the organizers on Thursday. Tebogo will be challenged in Lausanne by the American Fred Kerley, who won the bronze medal in the 100 m at the Stade de France, and his compatriot Erriyon Knighton, among others.
The long jump competition will also feature a top-class Olympic quartet: Miltiadis Tentoglou from Greece, Wayne Pinnock from Jamaica, Mattia Furlani from Italy and local Simon Ehammer will be vying for victory.
Four of the top five from the Games will also be competing in the men's 800-meter run. Kenyan Olympic champion Emmanuel Wanyonyi, the third fastest man in history, and Marco Arop, silver medal winner in Paris, are the biggest contenders for victory.
The organizers have also announced Britain's Dina Asher-Smith and Ivorian Marie-Josée Ta Lou-Smith in the 100m.
