Marco Müller will play for SC Bern again the season after next. The 30-year-old forward will then return to the Swiss capital from HC Lugano on a two-year contract.
Müller, who came through SC Bern's youth academy, made his debut in the top Swiss league in the 2011-12 season. He played for the Bernese club until 2017. Since then, he has played for other Swiss clubs, for HC Lugano since the championship before last.
The SC Bern management are also planning to continue with coach Jussi Tapola beyond the upcoming season. They have extended the contract with the Finn, who has been in charge of the National League team since last season, by one year ahead of schedule.
