Martin Baumann will take up the post of CEO of the Swiss Ice Hockey Association Swiss Ice Hockey at the beginning of November.
The 56-year-old from Zug succeeds Patrick Bloch. In August, the association announced that it would be ending its collaboration with Bloch.
Baumann was CEO of the Champions Hockey League AG for the last ten years and established the re-established club competition. He will now contribute his "extensive ice hockey know-how, expertise and management experience" and help to further develop the initiated Strategy 2030, writes association president Stefan Schärer in a press release.
