Ducati rider Jorge Martin underpins his ambitions in the battle for the world championship crown in the MotoGP class. Just like a year ago, he wins the sprint at the Sachsenring.
Last year's runner-up Martin extended his lead in the overall standings to 15 points with his success. The Spaniard won ahead of Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) and his Ducati brand colleague and first rival Francesco Bagnaia.
Eight-time champion Marc Marquez, who was riding with a broken finger and bruised ribcage, finished in sixth place.
