This is revenge for the Unspunnen final round in 2023, which Giger won. Walther has already won two wreath festivals this year: the Mittelländische in Riggisberg and last weekend's Seeländische in Täuffelen. However, Giger is the favorite - as he always is. The Kilchberg and Unspunnen winner shone in his comeback after an injury break on the Stoos and took an unchallenged victory.
The duel between last year's winner Fabian Staudenmann and Armon Orlik also stands out from the top pairings. In the other top duels, Werner Schlegel and Matthieu Burger as well as Matthias Aeschbacher and Martin Roth will go head-to-head.
