Niederreiter made it 1-0 after just under a quarter of an hour in the first period, with Canadian Colin Miller adding the second goal for the Jets in the second. The Flames managed to equalize at the start of the third period, but American Kyle Connor secured victory for the visitors with just over three minutes remaining.
