The Norwegian handball team wins the Olympic final against hosts France 29:21, taking revenge for losing last year's World Championship final.
The Norwegians are Olympic champions for the third time after 2008 and 2012. They had previously won bronze twice, and now they have returned to the throne in Paris. France, who won all the games up to the final, had to settle for silver this time after winning gold three years ago in Tokyo.
The first half of the match was evenly contested, but the Norwegians made the difference in the second 30 minutes. Bronze went to the Danes, who defeated Sweden 30:25.
