The 2025 Ice Hockey World Championships in Sweden and Denmark will kick off with a cracker. Patrick Fischer's team will face the Czech Republic in a rematch of the 2024 World Cup final.
The game will take place in Herning on the afternoon of Friday, May 9. Switzerland's other opponents in the preliminary round are Denmark (May 10, 20:20), the USA (May 12, 16:20), Germany (May 15, 16:20), Norway (May 16, 20:20), Hungary (May 18, 20:20) and Kazakhstan (May 20, 12:20).
