SC Bern announces that the transfer of Kalle Kossila will not materialize. At the same time, it announces the signing of Austin Czarnik. The American will receive a one-year contract.

The 31-year-old Czarnik has played in the NHL for the Boston Bruins, Calgary Flames, New York Islanders and Seattle Kraken, among others. In the past two seasons, the center played for the Detroit Red Wings and their farm team Grand Rapids Griffins.

The recently announced transfer of Finland's Kalle Kossila from the Swedish club Växjö Lakers will not be completed due to failed physicals. SC Bern did not disclose any detailed information.
