The Scots have an advantage against Hungary thanks to their point against Switzerland. Both need a win to keep their hopes of reaching the last 16 alive.
Scotland and Hungary can still have hopes of reaching the last 16 of the European Championship when they meet in Stuttgart on Sunday at 9pm. However, a draw will not help anyone. The Scots have just one point to their name, the Hungarians none.
Scotland played hard and aggressively from the start and earned a deserved point against Switzerland (1:1) on Wednesday. Steve Clarke's team can therefore still hope to finish ahead of Switzerland, even if the goal difference is in favor of Murat Yakin's side, who already have four points to their name (-4 for Scotland, +2 for Switzerland).
Midfield engine Scott McTominay and his Scotland side will at least have the advantage of being able to counter-attack against a Hungary side who have their backs to the wall after two defeats (and also have a goal difference of -4). The Hungarians will have to take the game to get the three points, but they may not be enough to finish in the top four.
