Celine van Till secures the next Swiss cycling medal at the Paralympics. The Geneva native finished second in the "tricycle" category behind Marieke van Soest from the Netherlands.

Van Till had been in with a chance of winning a medal in the field of six participants. Last year, the 33-year-old Romande became world and European time trial champion.

On the way to her latest major success, Van Till had to overcome a scary moment. "I lost my balance at one point. Fortunately, that went away again."

For Van Till, cycling is the third sport she has practiced as a para-athlete. A passionate rider, she had previously also tried her hand at dressage and athletics as a sprinter. Van Till is not only active in sport, but also in politics. She is a member of the Grand Council in the canton of Geneva.
