Franjo von Allmen has to take a break in his preparations for the 2024/25 alpine ski season. The Bernese speed specialist injured his right knee joint last week.

Examinations revealed a bruised femur and tibia. An operation is not necessary, but Van Allmen will have to refrain from snow training for at least four weeks, according to a Swiss-Ski communiqué. This means he will miss the training camp overseas.

With strong performances last winter, the 23-year-old Von Allmen has earned himself a place in the national team. In his first full World Cup season, he finished in the top 10 four times, with his best result being 3rd place in the super-G in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
