Jorge Martin wins the sprint at the San Marino Grand Prix. The Spaniard wins in Misano ahead of MotoGP world champion Francesco Bagnaia and extends his lead in the world championship.
In the 13-lap race, Martin, who started from fourth position, got off to a dream start. He took the lead on the first corner and defended it to the finish. Thanks to his fifth sprint win of the season, Martin now leads the championship standings by 26 points ahead of Bagnaia. The Italian secured pole position for Sunday's main race (14:00) ahead of his compatriots Franco Morbidelli and Marco Bezzecchi.
Morbidelli was the third Ducati rider to complete the podium in the sprint.
