Alessandra Keller is still in great form. At the end of the Mountain Bike World Cup in Les Gets, the athlete from Nidwalden finished 3rd in the cross-country.

Keller, who won the short track on Friday, was only beaten by Puck Pieterse from the Netherlands and Candice Lill from South Africa at the Olympic dress rehearsal in the French Alps.

Keller lost just over three minutes to the superior 22-year-old Pieterse, who dominated the race from the start. With her third podium finish over the Olympic distance this season, the 28-year-old extended her lead in the overall standings. Pieterse is the new first runner-up, 225 points behind. Overall, it was Keller's seventh podium finish in the elite cross-country race.

With Nicole Koller (12th) and Linda Indergand (13th), two other Swiss riders finished in the top 15. In addition to Olympic champion Jolanda Neff, the two French riders Pauline Ferrand-Prévot and Loana Lecomte and the American Haley Batten also missed out on the race with a view to the Olympic Games.

The cross-country medals will be awarded at the Summer Games in Paris in just over three weeks' time.
