One day after winning silver in the 100 m breaststroke at the European Championships, defending champion Lisa Mamié qualified confidently for the semi-finals in the double distance.
With a time of 2:29.67 minutes, the 25-year-old from Zurich achieved the eighth-best time of the preliminary heats. In the evening she now wants to finally swim the limit for the Olympic Games in Paris, which is 2:23.91 minutes.
Antonio Djakovic and Thierry Bollin, who have already qualified for Paris, came through the heats in the 200m crawl and 50m backstroke with the fourth and fifth best times respectively. Julia Ullmann is also in the semi-finals of the 100 m dolphin.
