The Swiss women lose 1:4 against Sweden at the start of the newly established Euro Hockey Tour in Kloten.

The Swiss women's ice hockey team had a thoroughly unsuccessful start to the Euro Hockey Tour. After just 24 minutes, Colin Muller's team trailed Sweden 0:3. Naemi Herzig scored the Swiss women's only goal in the 48th minute in the power play - too late to turn things around.

Following the men's example, this season will also see a four-nation series with Switzerland, Sweden, Finland and the Czech Republic for the first time. The first of the four tournaments takes place in Switzerland this week, with the Czech Republic as the opponents on Friday and Finland on Saturday.
