Switzerland triumphs in its first participation in the Nations Cup in Brussels. Steve Guerdat, Pius Schwizer, Janika Sprunger and Martin Fuchs won ahead of the home team Belgium and the Netherlands.
Switzerland was in 2nd place after the first round. With five points, they were only beaten by Sweden with four points. Janika Sprunger and Orelie were one of only ten riders to go clear. In the recapitulation, Olympic silver medallist Steve Guerdat on Is-Minka and Martin Fuchs with Conner completed flawless rounds. With a total of nine points, the Swiss distanced the second-placed Belgians by eleven points.
